Texting ruins your English

“The frequency of errors in grammar and punctuation has become a serious concern, the State Examination Commission said in a report after reviewing last year’s exam performance by 15-year-olds.”

txting msgs 2 ppl iz cool! r u a txter?

The wonderful effect of texting on our grammar! It’s no surprise that teens who tend to abbreviate words in order to increase their mobile typing speed, see a decrease in their grammar skills. Texting frequently can cause people to often forget the real spelling of words and proper grammar. The same can be said about instant messaging. Seeing texting cause problems over a widespread population is certainly an important issue. The technology cannot be taken away, the only solution is to constantly teach grammar and spelling rules in school.
